Long Shortman is the entrepreneurial CEO of the Shenlong Industries mega-corporation, a technological firm that has experienced a massive rise since the beginning of the universal tournament, being now large enough to rival Wu Sai Multiplanetary. Ruthless and efficient, Long will stop at nothing to protect his company, though leaves most of the killing to his secretary, the beautiful yet deadly Akari Kuragari.
Long has a calm yet serious demeanor, and an extreme level of confidence that allows him to face down business opponents and combat opponents alike. Though he prefers to leave the killing to Akari, he is a perfectly capable fighter himself, trained in a variety of martial arts as well as multiple sword styles.

Long is black, of Caribbean heritage. His head is bald, and he possesses a short, silver goatee. He has a thin, slender figure, and is wont to dress in narrowly-cut suits to accentuate this. He is never seen without a pair of small, circular sunglasses, which cover his eyes.
